I had an in-home tutoring assignment this past year, working with a fifth grader on Math and Language Arts. I was always prompt and on time, and I always had a lesson plan prepared. My student and parents were also very committed. One-on-one tutoring was very satisfying and rewarding and the student made a lot of progress.
In-home tutoring can be scheduled to one to three hours per week. Tutotring starts with a consultation with the parents and guardians, as well as an evaluation, to see where the student is and what areas need to be worked on. Then I develop lesson plans to work on those areas.
